Actually, this is a German beer hall

I didn't realize when we started using the phrase "This is not a German beer hall" that we would in fact be heading to Germany in the near future.

We'd planned to take the boys for a road trip around the southwest of England, then discovered that Dave needed to be in Berlin for work the day after we were supposed to fly home. Rather than split up and send me and the boys home alone, we decided to tag along to Berlin as well. The boys and I will hang out in the city while Dave's at work.

I'm longing to take them to a German beer hall for lunch one day, just to see the look on James's face when I tell him that we are in fact in a....German beer hall. Surely the ensuing rumpus will be worth it.

We're leaving tomorrow and will record our travels soon!

I'm sure you're going to have so much fun! Good luck on the plane ride-- you're braver than me. I can only manage 3 hours in a plane with babies. :) Please take tons of pics of the mayhem in the German beer hall after Thomas and James go wild.

Lots of German Beer Gardens have playgrounds in the middle of them. I'd bet you can find a beer hall with a playground in the middle of it. I always say I'm going to retire in Germany. Seems they also drop the retirement homes off at the beer haus'es too.
