James and Thomas and Greek tragedies
A couple of times in recent weeks I've said "Oedipus!" when other drivers have nearly sideswiped us, etc. I thought this was a safe bet.
Last week some dude who was looking at his pants nearly rear-ended us. I said the usual. "What's an Oedipus?" James asked.
"Umm, he was a man who lived a long time ago in Greece, in the Mediterranean."
Thomas asked, "Why you say him when you are mad?"
Whoops.
