Who knew?

I love curried parsnips, but they're the kind of food that inspires fear and hatred in most people. Dave and James are pretty open-minded eaters, but until yesterday I'd been able to rely on never having competition for seconds in the parsnip department.

Well, all good things must come to an end. I put a few parsnip pieces on Thomas's tray last night. Four seconds later, all the pieces were in his mouth and he was shouting and gesticulating toward my plate. I was happy to comply, although it meant that I only got a few bites.

Thomas has also learned to climb up the stairs. We don't have a video of his maiden voyage -- he whisked up the stairs one afternoon and I made it around the corner just in time to spot him as he scrambled up the last few steps. He's also added the words "butter," "dragon," and "fat" to his vocabulary. A busy boy.
