James's First Thanksgiving: Pros and Cons

Pros:

• James got to see Mimi and Clancy (his names for my parents), Aunt Clare, and her boyfriend Mark. He had a great time with all of them, especially Mimi, whom he adores.
• Turkey (James is crazy about all kinds of meat, so the turkey was a major hit).
• The beach in winter.

Cons:

• Naturally, the poor guy got sick on a major holiday, far from home. (Thanks, Robyn, for helping us figure out what was wrong with him!) On the plus side, Mimi was there to help comfort James, which was great. But we promptly gave her his bug, which was too bad.
• Thanksgiving post appears, without benefit of illustrations, several weeks after the fact.
