Mr. Bump
It had to happen sometime...the other week James was running on our back patio, which has some uneven bricks on it, and he fell and scraped his face up. Poor guy. He was a trooper -- he handled it much better than the grown-ups did. In this picture, taken shortly after he slipped, you can see that the scrapes did not slow him down at all:

You can also see that he still likes to remove his right shoe whenever possible. He took it off as soon as he got into the house.
His face is all healed up now and, luckily, he's developed a greater sense of caution about running on the patio. Phew.

We're in Atlanta this week, and James has enjoyed going to the pool and playground with my mom. He discovered a toy plastic dump truck at the neighborhood pool, and is now a truck devotee.
