The substance, though not the details
As I've mentioned before, James is fascinated by the potty and likes to use it on occasion. Last week, he had a date with his friend Lila at an indoor playspace in Takoma Park. This place was great, and -- among other toys -- had a little playhouse, as well as one of those seats you can put babies in to prop them upright before they're able to sit on their own.
James contemplated these things, then took the little seat into the playhouse's smallest room and announced that he'd set up a potty. "Way to go! What a nice potty," I said.
Then he sat down and used it.
(Luckily, he was wearing a diaper.)
