Museumgoing
We visited Grandpa and Grandma in Connecticut last weekend and had a great time. Grandpa had thoughtfully left me some information about an exhibit of Italian medieval and Renaissance paintings at the Yale museum, so we took the boys to see it. While at the museum we discovered that the boys are now old enough to begin the fun game of identifying saints by their attributes! (We will wait to explain the full context of the attributes until they're older; we don't want them to grow up warped.) Their favorite was St. Stephen. Whenever we came upon a picture of him they would chorus, "Stephen! Rocks in his head!"
Thomas brought his new favorite toy along for the ride. For the uninitiated, this is Diesel, the evil antagonist train from "Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends." I think Thomas figured Diesel was just misunderstood. Anyway, he brings him everywhere. Diesel, though metal, is starting to look slightly the worse for wear.
Also, Thomas has been talking up a storm. Our backyard has a rabbit infestation and is starting to resemble Watership Down. Thomas loves this. "Tiny bunny out there! So soft! Jumping in the bushes!" "Where, love? I don't see him." "JUMPING IN THE BUSHES!"
