Artistic temperament

James has decided that he wants to be an artist when he grows up, preferably one like Tomie dePaola. We saw a video this afternoon of a talk that Tomie dePaola gave some years ago, in which he showed the audience how he draws Strega Nona.

While I was making dinner, James picked up one of our special glass markers and drew (on the sliding glass door) what he announced was Strega Nona's head.

Damn if it doesn't look like her.
