At his one-year checkup, James was 30 1/4 inches tall (about 70th percentile) and weighed 23 pounds 2 ounces (about 60th percentile).

His personality is becoming ever more distinctive. He has a temper when roused, and he's the most determined kid I've ever met, but overall he reminds me most of Ferdinand, the gentle bull in the children's book.
