A conspiracy unmasked

On Sunday morning James woke up early and came into our room. I roused myself slightly at the sound of laughter coming from both sides of my head, and opened one eye.
Then, James's voice:
"Mus! Mom on now! Look, Mus!"
Then they started laughing like crazy again. James followed up on this by requesting Cheerios "now."
