The Germans and the French

Tom, our favorite neighbor, stops his four boys from jumping on the furniture by announcing: "Gentlemen! This is not a German beer hall!"

Needless to say, we've stolen this phrase and put it to good use.

James is so enamored of it that he's taken to announcing his intent to climb on the furniture by shouting, "Not a German beer hall!"

This morning he rushed into our room at dawn, jumped onto the bed, and said, "James is in a German beer hall talking French! Plagabalalalalala!"
