Uh-oh! It's the mail van.

We've been making noises about repainting our vintage pistachio green siding, and last week I picked up some paint swatches to test out. A few of them were easily rejected (too pink, too blue, too appallingly reminiscent of our current color scheme), and I offered them to James.

James promptly stuck them in the undercarriage of his ride-on train and announced that he was driving a mail van. He delivered paint swatches to several kitchen drawers and the china cabinet.

Thomas has learned to say "Uh-oh!" He hasn't realized or doesn't care, however, that this word typically indicates that the speaker perceives a problem. Instead, he marauds around calling "Uh-oh!" cheerily as he unloads the shoe bench.

Actually, what am I thinking? As I typed that, I realized that he's just saying it so I don't have to.

At any rate, Thomas was much taken with James the mailman and pounded around the house after him, calling "Uh-oh!" as James delivered each paint swatch.
