Together food!

It was nasty out earlier this week, so James's friend Peter and Thomas's friend Luke came over for an indoor picnic. James and Peter were in a banana frame of mind, but, instead of having a banana each, decided to cut two bananas in half and share them. They laughed hysterically, announced that this was "Together Food!" and ate several other foodstuffs this way, including a sandwich and a brownie.

Thomas and Luke thought the big boys were out of their minds.

Also this week, James and Thomas were out playing when they encountered an older boy with a mean streak. We've met this older boy a few times, and he often tries to scare people off by giving them a studiously ferocious look during which his face vibrates. (I'm reminded of Rabadash in The Horse and His Boy.) Thomas approached something that the boy was playing with, and the boy turned to James and said, "We can scare this baby away, easy."

James said, evenly, "That's my brother."

The older boy found something else to play with.
