On the lam
Thomas has become an expert walker over the past couple of months. He's taken to running off whenever he gets the chance; for instance, across the soccer field next to the playground.
James at one point heard me refer to Thomas being "on the lam," and has adopted the phrase with enthusiasm. Today at the playground I looked away for five seconds and turned back to see Thomas sprinting across the soccer field. "Mas is on the lam!" cried James, giving chase.
After Thomas's recapture James said, "I would like to go on the lam too. Can I have some raisins to take to the lam?"
