The Fruitman comes to our house

James and Thomas still ask if they can see The Fruitman Exhibit (aka the paintings of Arcimboldo; yes, you should pronounce The Fruitman Exhibit with capital letters) every time we go downtown. I've tried explaining it was a temporary exhibit that is now closed; they have decided not to believe this. James asked a guard where The Fruitman was the last time we went to the National Gallery; the guard was very patient. "My mom said he went home, but that can't be right." "Young man, your mother was absolutely right about that. You must listen to her." James looked askance at him.

Today it was disgusting out so we went to Ikea, that rainy day Elysium for small children. They had toy fruit and vegetables for sale! We bought a basket of each and came home to play Arcimboldo on the rug.
