Milkoholism
In all seriousness, James does have some extraordinary abilities, but perhaps the best-used is his ability to consume milk in quantity. We took him to the pediatrician today, and were proud to note that he is already 11 lbs., 9 oz. (and a very proportional 23" long). We've started joking that he has two phases when he is awake: "hungry" and "could eat" (or, perhaps, "hungry enough to be really mad" and "hungry").
"Hungry":

"Could eat":

(Note the subtle chewing on the star.)
James has a particular look that he gets when he's just had a big meal--saturated in milk, completely blissful, and not a little stoned-looking. We call it the Mister Milky face (and Augusta has even made up a song to go with it). But for some reason it's been hard to catch on camera--either he falls asleep, he needs burping, he wants more, or he gets distracted by the camera. This is one facet of it, anyway:

And this is the especially happy side:

You wouldn't know it from the Mr. Milky photos, but he's getting better and better at holding his head up--granted, sometimes he will fling it sideways (e.g., into Augusta's lip), but other times he can practically sit up by himself.

He also enjoys being carried and quietly observing, or just sitting and watching his surroundings.

And then, contentment:
