End-of-the-Week Update

I've been back at work this week and have thus been slow to update things around here--sorry for the radio silence.

James continues to thrive. On the pediatric front, he was up to 10 lbs., 2 oz. on Monday, which puts him just slightly above the rule-of-thumb average growth rate (an ounce a day at his age). Given his starting point, he's obviously still a big kid. More importantly, though, he's interacting more and more with his surroundings--I haven't caught it on (virtual) film, but he'll do things like grab my finger and bring it to his mouth to suck on. He's also figured out how to get his pacifier back when he drops it next to his shoulder (as in the "baby papasan" depicted below).



Last night we gave him a real bath (at least as to his lower half). He seemed to really like it--he didn't cry at all until we took him out. Here are some photos from the pre-bath shampooing phase:
