A Trip to Boston

This weekend, we all went to Boston for the wedding of Jean Galbraith and Jeremy Tobacman, two college friends of ours. It was James's first plane ride and first wedding.

James took the plane ride in each direction really well; he quietly fussed a little bit (either because he was stuck in his car seat or because his ears were bothering him), but mostly he just slept.



He woke up happy.



Honestly, I think he likes planes. New sights, white noise, gentle vibration, and G-forces--what's not to like?

We had a nice time visiting Boston and Cambridge--the weather was gorgeous, so we spent a fair amount of time just walking around with James:

But the highlight, of course, was the wedding and associated festivities. James behaved pretty well through the ceremony, dinner, and reception, including a round of Hava Nagila and lots of being passed around among friends:

All in all, a great if somewhat tiring weekend. Many thanks to Jean and Jeremy for inviting us, throwing such a great party, and making the whole event so kid-friendly. And, of course, congratulations.
