Dr. No and the Chuffler

James is currently a big believer in the power of the word "no."  He says it in response to pretty much any direct question you ask him (we have learned to avoid these) and even sings a sweet little song that has "No! No, no, no, no, nooooooo" as its only lyrics.  James's other hobby of the week is saying and demonstrating pairs of opposites, such as "big kiss! small kiss!"

Thomas is still making his little chuffly noises, and is still fascinated by everything James does.  He is not a fan of tummy time, though he endures it stoically.

Here's a picture of James in his drag outfit, wielding the unused baby gate as a prop:

Thomas isn't sure that he's a fan of this:

In other news, I quit my job earlier this month so that I could be "at home" (ha! a misnomer! we are rarely at home!) while we have very small people in the house.  A hard decision, but one we're all very happy with -- email me if you want the highly boring details.

could james' "no no no" song just be him singing amy winehouse?

I don't suppose James is familiar with the TMBG kids' album entitled "No!", is he?

Also, Thomas in this picture looks like a disconsolate back-bencher during an early 20th century session of PM's Questions, expressing his disapproval of the general proceedings by withholding consciousness.

Yay for being at home!! We are currently ALWAYS at home, as oak pollen twirls about us and Clare and I suffer the brunt of it. Can't wait to get out into the world again. Call or e-mail us, because Matt and I would love to catch up!
